Tasks

· Construction of IT network infrastructures and configuration as well as operation of active network components

· Conception and construction of central security components to secure IT networks with a high level of protection (e.g. firewalls, application layer gateways, intrusion detection systems, etc.)

· Monitoring of the managed services to ensure compliance with agreed system availability and proactive troubleshooting or avoidance

· Protection of the technology stack used through security measures and hardening as well as creation and implementation of best practice guidelines in the area of responsibility

· Automation of administrative tasks with the help of appropriate tools and workflows

· Ensuring stable and uninterrupted system operation

Essential qualifications

· Successfully completed studies in a technical subject or equivalent training with professional experience as a network engineer

· In-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of IT security and common network technologies

· Practical experience in the operation of firewalls and in the provision of network services

· Consistent use of automation and IaC tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)

· Quick comprehension and openness to new topics, projects and processes

Desired language skills

· German – Advanced (C1-C2)

· English – Experienced (B2-C1)

Salary range

· €55,000.00 – €70,000.00 annually
