Trail is changing the way hospitality is run, and we need your help. At its simplest, Trail is a daily list of tasks for multiple teams with an initial focus on Hospitality & Retail. When connected to other software and services, Trail becomes the central operational hub for an entire organisation. We’ve put a lot of work into building the best possible engineering environment. We want to spend our time coding and building great features rather than worrying about builds, deployment, and infrastructure.

About you:

You program in multiple languages, understand core principles of application development, keep everyone up to date with great communication, and are pragmatic about balancing business, product, and engineering needs. 5+ years experience Well-versed in at least one object-oriented server-side language (Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, Go etc.) Well-versed in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one modern JavaScript framework (React with Redux, Angular, Vue, etc.) Awareness of server and client-side performance considerations Understanding of what makes for a good User Interface and Experience Understanding of how to scale a pattern-based codebase adhering to good system design Confident communicating and solving problems with design patterns and software design principles Experience of agile software development, continuous delivery, TDD and automated testing Ability to work respectfully & constructively with diverse teams

Day-to-day, you will:

This is a full-stack development role – you’ll be responsible for owning major features in the product and delivering scale. The current team’s made up of 5 other full-stack engineers who you’ll learn from and mentor, with plenty of freedom and flexibility on how to improve our technology and processes.
